Job at UNRISD as Gender and Development Consultant

Will you shape UNRISD's new gender and development research programme?

Are you a gender and development expert looking for a new challenge? UNRISD is searching for new talent to scope and establish a new research strategy and programme in this area of work.

To help UNRISD take its gender and development research to a new level, we are looking for someone with a broad overview of gender and development research, and the ability to identify what is new and exciting in the field. They should have an overview of the institutions engaged in research and development, whether as producers or users, and good professional networks.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record in conceptualizing, developing and implementing research strategies and programmes, including field research experience in developing countries. They will combine this with excellent skills in communicating research to diverse audiences, particularly in policy communities, and fund-raising capacity.

The selected candidate would not necessarily need to be based in Geneva, but occasional travel to Geneva (and possibly New York) will be required.
